It is a bad habit that many reporting venues use because...why??? Don't have enough exciting news to report? Put your own name in that story and see how that feels. If your station manager thinks this is good reporting then it sounds like you need a new manager. Otherwise you all condone this behavior. Lets leave out assumptions and let the courts do their job.
