We are “Your Alternative Source” featuring a wide range of genre-specific music programs as well as our multi-genre mix and blend programs. Broadcasting at 1500 watts with a 30 mile broadcast radius, 90.1; WIUP-FM serves a potential listening audience of over 300,000 people. And now, via state-of- the- art web streaming technology, WIUP-FM’s unique programming is available worldwide. WIUP-FM is one of IUP’s largest and fastest growing organizations. Most of the management, producers and on-air staff are student volunteers and come from a wide variety of academic majors. Membership in the station is also open to faculty, staff and community volunteers. WIUP-FM is a recognized student activity at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Membership in WIUP-FM is open to all IUP students, staff and faculty, as well as members of the non-university community. To remain a member of WIUP-FM, all staff members must abide by the policies and procedures set forth in the Station Manual. Organizational meetings are scheduled during the first week of each academic semester and summer term. These meetings are open to any person interested in becoming a member of WIUP-FM. To apply for a position at WIUP-FM, an interested person must attend the first organizational meeting and apply by filling out the application distributed at the meeting or logging on to the WIUP-FM website at www.wiupfm.org and completing the online application.
