WBLE FM broadcasts classic country music as its primary format throughout Northern Mississippi and is based in Batesville.
WBLE was founded by Harold and Barbara McCarley back in 1953 as an AM station (1290 KHz) and purchased by the Batesville Broadcasting Company, Inc in 1978, and by 1983 was moved to FM 95.9. On the 2nd of February, 1989 the company obtained a permit for WBLE FM on 100.5 Mhz with a power increase of 50,000 watts enabling WBLE to access more than a quarter million listeners within a 75 mile radius.
