In 1984, FM88 was born as Jacksonville's first Christian FM radio station and has reached out with The Promise of the Gospel ever since. In2004, FM88 was sold by a local church and became 88.1 The Promise. The Promise is now an independently operated, listener supported, non profit organization. The Promise Educational Media Inc.
