WFLT is one of the oldest stations in the market. It is over 55 years old and has maintained a loyal audience over the years.The community has taken ownership of WFLT, it being the only community-owned gospel station in the market. WFLT stands for What Flint Listens To, the #1 community-owned gospel station in Flint, Michigan. In 1990 a group of local pastors formed CEBA, the Christian Evangelical Broadcasting Association. CEBA purchased WFLT because they felt the African-American community needed a voice, and a vehicle to be heard. WFLT offers a seat on the front pew of the African-American church- the historic platform for all social and political change. The WFLT gospel format gives an advertiser an adult demographic from ages 25-75 who remain loyal to products and services that advertise on Christian radio. At WFLT, we are a station that stands for integrity, and the empowerment of the African-American community.
